History in the making:

After having received a call to ministry, like-minded people gathered together to wait upon God to seek His direction, for the next step of faith to be taken.

Restoration Ministries involves guest preaching in other Churches, ministry to Ministers and Pastors, Elders and other Leaders. This Ministry is independent of any existing church organization or structure, but is an integral part of and participates in the wider church community. It is a Ministry to the Body of Christ.

Following the establishment of Restoration Ministries, there was an expressed need for people to access this ministry to receive nurture, pastoring and discipleship training in the Christian Faith. After six months of prayer and seeking the Lord's will, we believed that God was leading us to commence a Home Church for people seeking this ministry.

It is our desire that those who wished to join another fellowship, after a period of nurturing, would be encouraged to do so. However there may be others who wish to remain in Restoration Ministries and we believe that God will guide us in training these people, through Restoration Ministries, to reach out to others in similar circumstances.

Restoration Ministries conducts a Bethany Church on Sunday mornings at a member's home, for those who wish to attend. We believe that God meets each person at their point of need, and make ourselves available to support those who seek after Him.

In 2001 Restoration Ministries underwent alterations to the organization.

The first change being in regards to the legal structures and the "face" of this ministry to the community. This has resulted in a redrafting of the Constitution and the formation of Restoration Ministries Australia Ltd. and the subsequent dissolving of the original organization of Restoration Ministries. With this change was also the appointment of a Board of Directors for the oversight of the new structure and the implementation of the approved Constitution.

The new structure will still offer to the community the current opportunities for ministry and healing and shall also be available to meet the needs expressed by the community.

The second change is one of an informal nature with the identity of this Ministry to be known as "Bethany Fellowship" and to allow for future expansion.

The VISION of Restoration Ministries Australia Ltd is to see people come to salvation, maturity and wholeness in Christ, in spirit, soul, mind, body and relationships and to assist people to walk in a new way of living.

The MISSION of Restoration Ministries Australia Ltd is to enable Christians to become equipped to minister Christ's salvation, healing and wholeness to the world.

Nobody is beyond redemption or beyond saving (Luke 9:10). Jesus said He came to seek and save that which was lost. He gave us a commission in Matthew 10 (as stated later) and in Mark 16:15-18. "And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved: but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons: they will speak in new languages. They will pick up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them: they will lay their hands on the sick and they will get well."

Our MANDATE in Restoration Ministries Australia Ltd is found in Isaiah 61:1-4 "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me:-

To preach the gospel tidings to the meek, the poor and afflicted;
To bind up and heal the broken hearted: To proclaim liberty to the physical and spiritual captives;
To open the prison and the eyes of those that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord - the year of His favour and the day of vengeance of our God
To comfort all who mourn, to grant consolation and joy to those who mourn in Zion;
To give them an ornament of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise instead of a heavy, burdened and failing spirit;

That they may be called the oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, THAT HE MIGHT BE GLORIFIED."

Luke 4:18
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed me to preach Good News to the poor; He has sent me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed."

Our COMMISSION is found in Matthew 10:1, 8
v1 And Jesus summoned to Him twelve disciples and gave them power and authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out, and to cure all kinds of diseases, and all kinds of weakness and infirmity.
v8 "Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give."

The PURPOSE of Restoration Ministries is to glorify God and enable others to become disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ who will:-

Celebrate the Life of Christ through;

personal devotion and prayer
gathering together with the church body for prayer, praise and worship
sharing His Word of Life and the Sacraments
continually seek God's presence and responding to Him

Cultivate personal growth in Christ through;

prayer and study of God's Word
personal application of Biblical Principles to their own lives.
maturing as Christians, reflecting and modeling the character of Christ.

Care about one another in Christ through;

sharing their joys, needs and growth.
recognition and development of one another's giftings.

The GOAL of Restoration Ministries is, to act in accordance with our MISSION through our MANDATE and COMMISSION, thereby achieving our PURPOSE, to equip people to live the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as given in His Word.
